The problem
Moving Operator-managed resources between Kubernetes environments requires more than copying YAML. Cluster contexts and Operator references need to match the destination, and the original resources need a recoverable backup.
The workflow
The utility automates discovery, backup, context-aware transformation and migration of Tyk Custom Resources. Validation and reporting make the resulting state inspectable; cleanup is an explicit part of the workflow.
Resource concepts include API definitions, security policies, Operator contexts and portal configuration. These are architectural examples; check the repository for its supported resource types and execution requirements.
Engineering approach
Bash and kubectl keep the workflow close to Kubernetes tooling. Context transformation connects the source resource model to the target environment instead of assuming both clusters are configured identically.
Technical evidence
The public repository contains the implementation and usage instructions. The flow above illustrates the process without exposing customer infrastructure.
